Elena and Her Flowers (Customer Stories)

Elena wrote to us saying that she wanted us to create a piece of jewelry to celebrate herself as a woman, honor her journey, and recognize everything she had gone through to become the woman she is today. To mark this, she cut her hair very short—a change of cycle, era, and way of inhabiting life. I think this often happens when we stop being teenagers and young women and enter adulthood: cutting our hair becomes a step toward a new moment in our lives. To accompany this change, she decided to gift herself a pair of earrings. She chose the petals and asked us to paint them red—the color of fire and passion. She also wanted them a little longer, around 9 cm. She is tall and has a long neck, and wanted them to accompany her rebirth without going unnoticed.

We made them in gold-plated brass, using a beautiful red pigment I brought back from Japan. It comes in a very small jar that will allow me to create only a few more pairs of earrings, but I’m completely in love with its red color.

We make each of our pieces of jewelry with the person who will wear it in mind. That’s why it’s important for us to know our clients’ stories: we imbue each piece with details, care, and affection as we prepare it.
